What's included

What Promoted Listings management includes

Both eBay ad products, managed against the numbers that actually matter — margin after ad fees, not impressions.

Promoted Listings Standard

Ad rates set per category and per listing, based on what the sale can actually carry.

Promoted Listings Advanced

Keyword-level campaigns with manual bids for the products where control is worth the effort.

Margin-first ad rates

Every ad rate checked against your margin before it is raised, so you are not buying loss-making sales.

Keyword & placement review

Search terms reviewed weekly, with negatives and bid changes on what spends without converting.

Campaign structure

Listings grouped so your best sellers are not subsidising items that never convert.

Seasonal planning

Ad rates and budgets planned around your category’s peaks instead of reacting after they pass.

Sales & markdown coordination

Promotions, markdown sales and coupons coordinated with ads so they do not compete with each other.

Weekly reporting

Spend, attributed sales, ad fee percentage and what changed — in plain language, every week.

Why sellers choose us

Promoted Listings is easy to switch on and easy to lose money with.

eBay suggests an ad rate and most sellers accept it across the whole store. That rate is not calculated from your margin, and on thin-margin items it can turn a profitable sale into a loss.

  • Ad rates set from your margin, not eBay’s suggested rate
  • Standard and Advanced used where each actually fits
  • Weekly search-term review, not set-and-forget
  • Direct access to the person managing your campaigns

Questions, answered

Promoted Listings & Ads FAQ

What is the difference between Standard and Advanced?+
Standard charges a percentage of the sale only when an ad leads to a sale. Advanced is cost-per-click with keyword-level control. Standard suits most catalogues; Advanced suits high-volume listings where control pays for itself.
What ad rate should I use?+
There is no single right answer — it depends on your margin and category competition. We calculate the maximum rate your margin can carry, then work within it.
Do ads help my organic ranking?+
Indirectly. Ads generate sales and click-through, and both feed the signals Cassini uses. But ads cannot fix a listing that does not convert.
How much budget do I need?+
Standard has no daily budget — you pay a fee only on attributed sales. Advanced needs a daily budget, and we usually start small while data builds.
Can you run ads on eBay UK and eBay US?+
Yes, with separate campaigns and rates for each site, since competition and fees differ.
What do I get each week?+
A report with spend, attributed sales, ad fee percentage, what changed in the campaigns and what is planned next.
